Annuals

Annual plants germinate, flower, lay seed and proceed to die during one season or year. Hardy annual seeds should be sown in the site where they will eventually flower.

Half-hardy annuals must be sown in pots and should be kept sheltered in a greenhouse. These are later planted out when the risk of any frost has passed.
